Azra Bečević Šarenkapa, from the Balkan Museum Network, presented the AURORA Project at the “Fighting the Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Property in the Western Balkans” training event. Organized by UNESCO, the training took place in Mostar from June 10th to 14th, 2024.

The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity to combat the illegal trade in cultural goods. Participants included officials from various ministries, police forces, customs agencies, museum professionals, and heritage site managers.

Azra Bečević Šarenkapa introduced the AURORA Project to both heritage professionals and representatives of law enforcement and justice services, highlighting the project’s innovative approaches to protecting cultural heritage.
