On October 10-11, 2024, Antonio Mirabile, Partner of the AURORA Project, conducted a workshop at the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art (The MET) in New York. Titled “Colloids and Nanomaterials in the Field of Cultural Heritage Conservation: Theory and Applications”, the workshop was held in the Department of Textile Conservation, responsible for the conservation and research of over 36,000 textiles.
During this event, Mirabile took the opportunity to present the innovative work of the AURORA Project, showcasing how it contributes to the protection and preservation of cultural heritage through advanced research and technology. The presentation allowed participants to gain insight into the current activities and goals of AURORA in addressing the global challenge of cultural heritage conservation.
This workshop was not only a platform for knowledge-sharing but also a way to highlight the critical importance of collaborative international projects like AURORA in advancing the field of heritage preservation.
